TDI Mixed Gas CCR Diver – rEvo
TDI Mixed Gas CCR Diver – rEvo Rebreather Training
The TDI Mixed Gas Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver Course is an advanced technical diving program designed for experienced rebreather divers who want to expand their capabilities by using helium-based breathing gases during CCR dives.
This course is conducted using the rEvo Closed Circuit Rebreather, a highly respected CCR system known for its dual scrubber design, reliability, and efficient gas management.
Mixed gas CCR diving uses trimix (helium, oxygen, and nitrogen) as the diluent gas. The addition of helium reduces nitrogen narcosis and allows divers to safely conduct deeper dives while maintaining better mental clarity and control underwater.
During the course, divers learn how to plan and execute deep decompression dives using trimix diluent while managing multiple gases, decompression obligations, and emergency procedures.
Training dives are conducted to a maximum depth of approximately 60 m / 200 ft, while practicing advanced dive planning, gas management, and CCR system control.
The TDI Mixed Gas CCR Diver course represents the next step in advanced rebreather training and prepares divers for deeper technical diving exploration.

18 years old
Maximum Training Depth
60 meters / 200 feet
Prerequisites
• Certified TDI Air Diluent CCR Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent
• Minimum 50 CCR dives and 50 hours on a rebreather
• Experience on the specific CCR unit used during training
These requirements ensure divers have sufficient CCR experience before conducting deep mixed-gas dives.
What You Will Learn
During this course you will learn:
• Trimix gas planning and calculations
• CCR mixed-gas decompression procedures
• Equivalent narcotic depth (END) planning
• Advanced rebreather equipment configuration
• Gas switching and bailout planning
• Emergency procedures during deep CCR dives
These skills allow divers to safely conduct deeper technical dives using helium-based breathing gases.
Certification
After successfully completing the course, students will receive the TDI Mixed Gas Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver certification for the rEvo unit.
Graduates may conduct CCR mixed-gas decompression dives up to 60 m / 200 ft within the limits of their training.
