TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course
TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver – Foundation of Technical Diving
Take the next step in technical diving with the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course. This course teaches divers how to safely use enriched air nitrox mixtures ranging from EAN21 to 100% oxygen within their current certification depth limits.
Advanced Nitrox training is considered one of the core foundations of technical diving. Divers learn how to properly plan dives using high-oxygen mixtures, manage oxygen exposure, and configure equipment suitable for advanced nitrox diving.
This course significantly improves a diver’s understanding of gas management, dive planning, and oxygen toxicity limits. It is also an essential step for divers who plan to continue their technical diving education with courses such as TDI Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, or Trimix Diver.
Many divers take the Advanced Nitrox course together with the Decompression Procedures course to begin staged decompression diving.

Training Standards
Minimum Age:
18 years old (15 with parental consent)
Maximum Training Depth:
40 meters / 130 feet
Prerequisites
• Nitrox Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Minimum 25 logged dives
These requirements ensure divers have sufficient experience before beginning technical training.
What You Will Learn
During this course you will learn:
• Advanced nitrox gas planning
• Oxygen toxicity tracking and exposure limits
• Nitrox mixtures above 40% oxygen
• Gas analysis and cylinder labeling
• Technical diving equipment configuration
• Advanced buoyancy, trim, and propulsion techniques
• Emergency procedures and gas management
These skills are essential for divers who plan to progress further in technical diving.
Certification
After successfully completing the course, students will receive the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver certification.
This certification is one of the key prerequisites for advanced technical diving courses and is often paired with TDI Decompression Procedures Diver training.
